I am Dutch and live and work in Antananarivo. Many friends come to visit me and my wife. I usually rent a car (a white Renault 4!) for them so they can drive around on this beautiful Island. On September the 27th the car has to be picked up in Tulear.
Who wants to drive the car from Tulear back to Tananarive?
This is the famous route national the RN 7 with parks as Isalo and Andringtra, without driver, all by yourself! If you have time you can drive these 900 kms in about 10 days, more or less if you want… The road is new and in very good condition, so no problem.
Cost of the car is 35 euro per day, price of bail is 500 euro, witch you get back on delivery in Tana. You pay the rent in Tana in advance at the man who rents these cars. It is not an official renting car, so you need to sign rental contract, car is insured, you need to be insured by your own insurance.

I think that if you want someone drive your car from Tulear to Tana, you must discount your price! With the same price, you can have à very good car with air condition, and a driver, who can explain a lot of thing for you, and assist you for your travel.
